Plays Something More Like This

La’Chris Jordan is a playwright and actress whose plays have been produced throughout the country. Her one-act plays include The Source (Manhattan Rep, Ashland New Play Festival), Backseat Girls (Manhattan Rep), The Beauty of Closure (Solo Performance Theatre Festival, Seattle), A Moment of Love (Actors’ Theatre of Santa Cruz), Piney Ridge (Winner, Eight Tens @ Eight Festival, Actors’ Theatre of Santa Cruz; ActOberfest, Secret Rose Theatre, Los Angeles, CA; Finalist, 2007 E-Merging Playwrights Competition, NY).  A journalism graduate of the University of Washington, La’Chris was named one of the “50 Playwrights to Watch” by the Dramatists Guild of America. She is currently at work on her novel “The Embers of Bellevue.”
