Reveille and Anything Can Happen: Two One-Act Plays

 Reveille

by Dan Roth

Jimmy is 17 and suffering from a case of teen angst... and a slight hangover, when confronted by his mother about his behavior.  Her concern quickly turns to shock once he presents her with a solution to his issues.

Anything Can Happen

by Cary Pepper

Monica lives on a quiet suburban street in a quiet American town. Until the day she opens her door to find Milo, a magazine salesman willing to do anything for a sale — he's already cut Monica’s phone lines so she won’t be distracted, and gone through her garbage to learn her interests. Luckily, the authorities intervene, exhorting Milo to release his hostages. Soon the media arrives to provide on-the-scene coverage of events as they actually happen (or don’t). Next comes a lawyer, who offers Milo his deal-making know-how. And, as the crisis escalates, a reporter scoops everyone by reporting events before they occur in this incredibly tense, explosively volatile stand-off, in which "Anything Can Happen”.
